Paintings Made Up Of Real People
Alexa Meade manages to skillfully comine paint, installation, portraiture and photography to create an amazing body of work. Instead of using acrylic paint to create people on canvas, she works backwards by applying paint on her subjects, blending them into becoming part of the artwork. Revamping the School Photo
No more stiff poses, dull backgrounds or forced smiles. Isn't this how you would want to remember your kid? Stomping Ground have successfully reinvented the school picture by encouraging kids to "wear whatever they like, bring their favorite toy, dress up in their fanciest costume, dance and jump around". If only they were around for my school pictures!

Fallen Princesses..
No such thing as Happily Ever After? Dina Goldstein addresses current issues and replaces the "happily ever after" notion with reality... Commenting on the series, Goldstein says
"I began to imagine Disney's perfect Princesses juxtaposed with real issues that were affecting women around me, such as illness, addiction and self-image issues."
